`PEACE.

peace.
Inner contentment; serenity.

a quote from aristotle,
"We make war that we may live in peace."

another quote, from benjamin franklin,
"There never was a good war, or a bad peace."

yet another quote, from buddha,
"Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without."

what makes peace?
is peace really what people seek?
if it is, then, why do people
still try to find faults and trouble?
well, does peace have a place
in their heart at all, the question is.

when people go to war,
what is their objective?
peace?
if people wanted peace,
would they have to go to war
to get what they labelled as peace?

war does not mean nukes or bloodshed.
it could mean heated arguements,
or maybe just a simple discussion.

but peace, does not always have to be
obtained through war.
if everyone did nothing, there would be peace.
wouldnt there?

the answer:
NO.
people cant sit around all day shaking legs.

ok, this discussion isnt really getting anywhere.
lets start over.

whats peace?
i guess, it is not disturbing others
or trying to make a fool of yourself.

lets me share an experience.
a certain friday night
when i was having dinner at the club.
we were discussing something
about church camps.
yes, throughout the 'discussion'
some bear kept whacking for
no apparent reason.
wait, there was a reason.
it being that, i 'kept talking'
when the bear itself
was blabbering gibberish.
yes thats the reason it
had kept whacking me for.

if i hadn't wanted peace i would
have stayed there and not
stormed into the bowling alley.

sounds kinda stupid, right?
well basically, its all about peace.
that bear, obviously had not wanted
to keep peace, instead finding trouble
by picking on me. for what particular reason?
because i had a big mouth, and he had a bigger one.
(i did not come up with this reason,
the bear did.)
but the fact is, he wanted peace
while he was talking.
and i wanted peace,
i wanted him to stop hitting me.

you see, the point is,
if people wanted peace,
they wouldn't go round finding trouble.

'Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.'

what does this statement tell us?
peace is within our inner self.
it comes by naturally,
and if we try and seek peace,
we, in turn, hurt others instead.

"He who makes peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."

the greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.
